Quack.

I just set the group so any member can create an event:

-On the main page click the 'Events' tab.
-In the right-hand panel there should be a 'Schedule Event' link - click it.
-Fill in the details of the event - give it a relevant title and include a tag at the front like [Skirmishes] Late night skirmishes or whatever for the sake of clarity.
-'Event type' doesn't really matter.
-Put stuff in the description about the event, like if you're using TeamSpeak or a rough estimate of duration for the convenience of late-joiners and such.
-Set the date/time of the event, or use the dropdown for 'Now' to '1 hour'.
-Hit the 'Create Event' button.
-You just pestered everyone with a pop-up event notification - grats.
