can't reset password

I can't reset password to my profile. It says it was sent by email but I got nothing. Any clues?

Actually i just managed to sign in via this method posted by a user on another thread :

At your profile under the avatar should be your ID (for example 445895, it is not the same as steam ID!) This you should use for astat. Don't worry if you never used it. Just write it under the username and then forget your password. Your password will be reset and you can choose some new which doesn't need steam.

edit: Also i used the same profile id to login as well.. seems that only works.
