10th Solaris Rangers "The Skye Tigers"

The 10th Solaris Rangers [10SR] was created by a group of online gamers that originated in Multiplayer Battletech (MPBT). MPBT Solaris was offered on America Online and Kesmai/Gamestorm. Several of us also played Legends of Kesmai (LoK), Airwarrior, and Aliens Online. We have played together since 1997 under several different regiment units in House Steiner/LCAF (1LR, 8AG, HRR, WnBg, RRC, 10SR) and were the 10th Skye Rangers in MPBT 3025. Unfortunately, it was abruptly cancelled on December 7, 2001 by EA. We moved on to Mechwarrior 4, MW4: Black Knight, and MW4: Mercenaries as the 10th Skye Rangers. We later played Planetside as the Terran Guards in May 2003. After the thrill of Planetside wore off, we returned to play Mechwarrior Mercenaries as the 5th Galedon Regulars of House Kurita. In February of 2005 we moved on to enjoy World of Warcraft and other MMO's.

Multiplayer Battletech - MPBT EGA, MPBT Solaris, and MPBT 3025 were great online games and the friendships, memories, and great battles will continue to live on in spirit with the 10th Solaris Rangers. We will continue to play and tackle great online games.

Our Mechwarrior unit name is normally the 10th Skye Rangers, but due to MWO restrictions on the use of Battletech canon names, we will be known as the 10th Solaris Rangers. Our name is derived from the 10th Skye Rangers and from Multiplayer Battletech: Solaris. The 10th Skye Rangers were stationed on Solaris VII in the year 3025. Our nickname is from the Skye Tigers Stables from the Solaris VII Game World.
