Any hats outside of the merchants? (for All Hats achievement)

Going for the all hats achievement, and I'm sure I visited all merchants and double-checked them. I think there were 2 merchants in each big area, but I could've missed one. But I've seen hats outside of merchants, so I might need to delve into something outside of buying. Currently the things I know outside of merchants are : - Tree : haunt a decent amount of trees - Cowboy : from a cowboy minigame...

The wait is over! We're thrilled to announce that Hauntii is finally out today (yay!), and to celebrate, you can glide into this hauntingly beautiful world with a 20% launch discount.

Hauntii brings a fresh and creative haunting mechanic that lets you possess the environment and the creatures around you. Whether it's enemies, rocks, trees, or even bugs, you can take control and use their special abilities to solve puzzles, uncover secrets, and navigate through the enchanting world of Eternity.

As you embark on this adventure, you'll encounter a cast of charming characters, each with their own unique personalities and insights into the game’s mythology. The game seamlessly blends minimalist storytelling, action, and discovery with twin-stick shooter mechanics, all set to a dynamic soundΩtrack by Michael Kirby Ward that perfectly complements the on-screen action.

Hauntii is set in the mysterious realm of Eternity, a place beyond space where all souls eventually end up. In Eternity, no ghost can truly die, but they can become corrupted into hellish versions of themselves. Guided by the enigmatic Eternians, glowing creatures that lead lost souls to a central tower, you'll unravel the mysteries of this ethereal world. Who are the Eternians? What secrets does the tower hold? And what will you discover about your own past?

TLDR: Hauntii is an indie title very worth playing with a high level of artistry.

The gameplay uses twin stick mechanics but it is a more slow paced, methodical game so don't go into it expecting bullet-hell high speed madness. Instead, think Mario Odyssey: you haunt objects to unlock abilities to defeat enemies or solve puzzles that reward you with stars. The stars are used to progress the story through showing your memories of your past life - as well as giving you options to upgrade health, "stamina" (dashes), or "ammo" (essence).

The visuals - hand line-drawings and animation - are incredible.

The soundtrack is the absolute standout here. Get the OST - it really stands well on its own, but it also brings you through all the emotional changes of pace within the game.

The story is told in a cryptic or impressionistic way. There is little direct exposition. The game does tell you what your current objective is but it is up to you to absorb everything the game shows you and piece together what it is trying to tell about the ghost's past life and the important lessons. There are occasional NPCs who establish the themes of the game through your interactions, and the rest is out there for you to experience. Take your time, explore everything, interact with every npc... just really drink it up.

Really impressive that this game came from such a small team. Every single one of them clearly sets a high standard for themselves with the art they create. The game can be beaten in under 10 hours - so you have the time necessary to enjoy it. No performance issues, runs great on the steam deck.

Why can't I ring these bells?

Just finished the Bell Guardian boss. I'm trying to ring all four of these sparkling bells, but I'm swinging from side to side with the left stick at a snail's pace, and the bell ringing doesn't prompt. I go to YouTube to see a video on what to do, and they're swinging these bells like nothing is wrong. Is there a particular order, or some sort of button prompt that I'm missing to ring this or what?...

Beautiful adventure game where you gotta haunt various objects in the environment to solve puzzles.
Almost worth it for the visuals alone.

Game unneccessarily hard or am I just bad?

First off loving the game, but running into quite a few issues. Was it intentional to spawn with 2 hearts after death? It feels unnecessarily punishing. Especially when I'm trying to do some of the boss fights, there's no way for me to get hearts back from enemies/random items being destroyed. Each time I die I still only get 2 hearts, and the boss fights usually have so many projectiles I just keep dying over and over. Spoilers here: I'm currently stuck at the boss wormhole ship fight and the...
