A really solid modern take on the old. The controls may be simpler than some games but they feel great and will allow you to bob-and-weave when the game wants to make you sweat. If you enjoy secret hunting, Extraneum has you covered and will reward you for your diligence with things such as text logs, permanent upgrades and access to some bonus levels. Come prepared for those bonus levels though, they don't pull any punches.

Maybe give it a miss or wait for a sale if you're less keen on some maze-like levels and wall humping for secrets. It's not my favourite thing to but after a while, you start to see the pattern of secret placements and can start reliably finding them.

Overall, a recommendation from me. Just some good fun.

IF you love Wolfenstein 3D era shooters like I do, Extraneum is a really good one. I love the art style, weapons, and enemies. There are also loads of secrets. Sometimes a straight forward FPS is exactly what I want, and this is a great one. I can't wait to play the full game!
