For the good of Greenlight

Steam Greenlight started with a noble goal, giving small developers, who usually would never get the attention of big publishers, the chance to sell their games to people.

It is meant to help get interesting, innovative and bold games the attention and success they deserve. Sadly the ease of entering Greenlight has resulted in a steady flood of frankly terrible looking games made by people who are just looking for a quick buck.
Using only pre-bought assets with no artistic input on their own, stuffing them full of meme references, making a wonky physics simulator of a random thing the list goes on.

Underneath all of this sewage of Greenlight garbage though there are still the genuine developers, those with talent and passion, the ones who do work hard to make a great game and truly deserve recognition.

This Group is dedicated to the good games on Greenlight

Calling out the bad stuff and showing the world how not to do it is important and the people of Digital Homicides are already hard at work doing just that. But this is only half of what needs to be done, if we call out the bad we need to highlight the good. This is the purpose of this group.

We will scour through Greenlight, looking for everything that looks actually promising and give it the boost it needs. The developers deserve better, Greenlight deserves better and we deserve better.
