Initial impressions are quite positive while using the Switch controller. Only problem now is that I'm having some trouble playing some games now.
This explains it in more detail: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/3317353727663512782/

inputs and menu functions works great so far only that the rumble doesn't seem to work. for games like monster hunter(currently playing now) the rumble is kinda necessary for fishing and feeling the pain of getting knocked around XD if possible please fix.

@Ony
Do you have any citation on that claim about Nintendo? Especially since they have that scary "legal" section?

Nintendo is 100% fine with their Pro Controller being used on PC, they mentioned so.

And even then, they recently updated the Pro Controller so that the player LEDs at the bottom show the controller's order among the connected devices, and the notification LED light up when connected to a computer.

Nintendo improving PC support for their controller doesn't sound like they have a problem with people using it on PC, methinks.

To make the Steam controller work on a Switch, Nintendo would have to license it, or Valve would have to use that hack known to soft-brick Switch systems.
