It actually is the steam client. How can you tell? one of the files on the stand-alone is : steam_appid.txt
It's missing unistaller.bat, steam.ini, and steamapi.dll

Tried to launch the game

I have played the game with NO problems up until this freaking update.. I tried to launch the game despite the blued out Update Required where Ready to Play normally is

into some problems, with missing dll's (including steam_api.dll)etc... fixed that. No idea why,It's a legit copy installed via steam.

2:Now, when trying to launch dedicatedserver.exe, a window opens
breifly and then closes. (Believe to be DX 9.0c)

My question is, does this dedicated server actually need a graphics card just to HOST a game?... All the googling I've done seem to lead towards a graphics

recognise. Last time I played the game was Sep 2015. So, did new patch make changes in the tech as well? It also seems that human ships have more movements than before...is it just my bad memory or not...I
