Verify integrity of the file, steam_api.dll file is likely corrupt or missing, from game files.

i can not launch this game it worked before now i get error everytime i press play thru uplay . how do i fix this? i google it and most site want me to pay for a missing file .

I've figured out why the crash happens. The steam_api.dll included with Half-Life 2 is older than the one the SDK targets and is missing interfaces, causing the crash. The fix is to either use
steam_api.dll from Source SDK Base 2013 MP/SP or remove lines 551 to 561 from steam_api.h.

why cant get on TruckersMP its saying that steam_api.dll missing but it liet me play singleplayer fine please help is it so much :(

Try uninstall and install game again. Game is missing files

I'm trying to play one of my games but for some reason it won't load. I looked a little into it and found out I am missing the file steam_api.dll. I don't know if I should delete Steam and
re-download it or if there is a way to re-install said file. Any help will be much appreciated.
