According to the OP, each user can check this on their own matches. Which is quite false precisely because these restrictions are applied late precisely to camouflage these obvious problems.

I would have to agree with the other guy. Playing a single game for 1000 hours and you just started last year. That's not love and appreciation, that's obsession. You need to diversify your taste.

I've played both games a lot, and had some trouble adjusting to Mius after years of Combat Mission. Both are good games worth playing, but both are also janky and "flawed gem" type of games.

First thing you have to understand is that Mius is not just "Combat Mission with better graphics". It's a very different game, not only about the interface but the things that work in CM won't work in Mius, and vice versa.

Combat Mission is more about small-unit tactics, and especially in Normandy, solving geometrical puzzles trying to pick apart static defensive positions in the hedgerows. As a defender, finding a clever position for one single tank can decide the game.

Mius is less about micromanaging, and more about concentration of force. Individual buildings and trees mean less, while the gradual slope of hills and finding the right the engagement ranges mean a lot more.

Mius is more difficult to get into than Combat Mission, but it's not as difficult as it's sometimes made out to be.
