I recently purchased a ultrawide monitor and come to find out it isn't fully compatible with dead by daylight?

Just curious if this was intentional to protect 'competitive play' as the black bars & zoomed in resolution to get rid of the black bars fix is subpar.

Am I missing something? Or is what I stated above the only 'fix' for us who game on a ultrawide monitor? The zoomed in resolution isn't optimal as it gets rid of a hefty amount of FOV well below the native I used to play on '1920x1080'. And yes- the black bars are playable, but defeats the purpose of wanting to enjoy titles on ultrawide :(

I have a 4080 super with a 7800x3d 1440p and and on ultra settings get the frame drops still and can't use hardware RT as that makes the frame drops unplayable for me. but on high settings with quality dlss and FG on i get consistent 260 fps with minor frame drops.

however i created the nvidia account and downloaded the drivers with smooth motion the other day to help with the isle frame issues and that fixed that game so i decided to try turning on smooth motion as well as dlss and FG on and I can now play completely maxed out albeit still using upscaling, dlss quality and fg, but on ultra settings and using hardware RT ultra as well in 300s fps with no frame drops.

granted this is limited testing done in caves and a few smaller cities and I haven't gone into the open world and ran across the map to see if rendering would create frame drop issues.
