I got surprised with it, but honestly so many have forgotten what the MP was even like and just screetch 'CoD xyz' when it comes to a death match style with any level of leaderboards or tracking.

The games are becoming popular again for a reason, and dismissing the old deathmatch appeal for games like hexen with a fairly different combat style than other games (though alot of games have come to enjoy that space from the ya know the explosion of boomer shooters)

I'm not sure of the official terminology used, but "summons" and "allies/companions" are 2 separate things.

For summons, these are "temporary allies". If they aren't a resident of your home (or one of your territories), it's a summon. You can enable your summon limit widget by clicking on the bar of information at the bottom while in the widget... menu option. Apparently you can get up to 15 summons allowed at once through raising your charisma, and more if you put feat points into the relevant one. (Note: the 15 summons allowed from charisma is at something like 225 charisma).

For your allies, these also will be a resident of your home. You can take any number of them at once, but you and your party will get a stat (speed) penalty for going beyond your limit.

You can get up to 5 allies at once with no penalty at 50 charisma, and up to 8 if you take the feats related to it. Again, there is no actual limit, it's just the limit before you start getting speed penalties.

Now being moderately useful in a fight? I have a very long running file now with a still-far goal of downing the superboss without cheese methods. Elea/Pianist.

Since you're still not at the point you're able to get a spell stock surplus, probably just throw your mic or panty (it's an instrument). Early to mid game, throwing is fine. Even up to late game it can be decent. It will not scale well once you're in endgame content. Provided you stick to it that long.

A cane with sound element wouldn't be the worst thing you could use too. Especially if you put rapidfire onto its modification slot. Just beware of the MP cost; it can get notably high.

Once you are getting stocks/surplus of various things, I find sound-element stuff to be the most useful (for me anyway). Dimmed enemies mean they have an increased chance of taking a crit. And with enough sound buildup, the target can become "muddled" and cannot do anything.

My gene engineered super allies are several times more useful in combat than I am. It got bad enough that I eventually settled on worshipping Kizuami of Trickery, as the artifact gives large overall boosts to all allies/residents at the cost of your character being unable to deal damage.

This game freeze all the time and I have to restart my whole computer! I can't play at all... like... what did you do?

Yup, we'll be supporting online crossplay between folks on PC and across consoles!

Please make sure there's an option to turn it off. I don't want EOS on my PC.

I have been experiencing it too and I have google fiber. I think its just because there are so many players playing currently, and alot trying to get in.

That is also a valid point. EA/DICE has always had issues with large player counts when a game just comes out.

You'd think they'd rather post on forums for games they actually enjoy.

I just assume that they do, but they're in denial about liking BG3. No sane, intelligent person would do otherwise.

just finished demo, got to level 50 maxed out experience, decorations and mining speed, mined all the ore. Enjoyed every minute, brilliant relaxing game with no stress in my opinion. the little bots need to move faster and would be good if they could be programmed to pick up specific ores i request. also the the delivery pod should deliver what it can and keep the rest of the ores and not scatter them all over the floor in a very messy way. all in all not bad at this stage of development
