I don't really see much sense in a rape exemption. The whole idea behind banning abortion is that the child's right to live exceeds that of the mother's right to bodily autonomy, so aborting it is murder. In the case of a medical exemption it makes sense as a form of self defense, but it's not the child's fault that its mother was raped and aborting the baby doesn't unrape the mother. Either allow abortion wholesale because the mother's right to bodily autonomy exceeds that of the baby's, or restrict the exemptions to medical reasons only.

This is actually an argument in favor of abortion, rather than against it...
