Greetings,

Monasteries were seen in the game early code. So have been thought of by the Developer.

- These were Church run elements, managed by an Abbot.
(having the same or more power and influence than our Manor Lord.)

And normally placed on Church held lands, so this could be an "existing" element found on/in new Regions.

For the Cathedral, that was the seat of power of the Bishop. Much higher Rank than the Manor Lord or even Baron.
- The Model for this is found in the games artwork.
- May need many new items for it's construction?
(stained glass, Stone masons for stone details, Marble and Artistic painting)

Windows is making them do that because MBR is a thing of the past now..... also, don't install RAM if you are "scared" of your bios lol.

Seriously, I barely have an idea of if I'm doing this stuff right in the first place and I would like to do all the work I set for myself in the notes I made.

There's enough randomness in the game that I wouldn't put too much weight on winning on turn 55 vs. 65 (or whatever). Getting the Development start and the AI as one of the choices for that first free megastructure is a pretty substantial leg up, IMHO.

I'm just saying that, with a few exceptions, I think all the leaders have enough going for them that being forced to take a particular set isn't a big drawback. Not nearly as much of a drawback as starting with -1 card draw, which is pretty common for the weekly challenge.

For example, getting LeClerc when you only have a couple of trade routes is, well, not exactly bad, but it means you're missing the advantages of a better middle-era leader. It's also entirely likely that you'll get no benefit from his passive either in that situation. Despite that, I don't think that's the difference between winning and losing.

I think removing choices makes the game less fun, but it's still kind of *interesting* to try the game with forced leader choices. It's like the -1 card draw I mentioned, it's obviously bad, but it's also a challenge.

You don't want to listen either way so just ignore my comment so that there's no reason to argue anything.

At the end of they day you're free to like whatever content you like, but I do not see content that use existing IP as honouring anything. I think they use existing IP because they're popular in order to push their own ideals onto as many people as they can reach. Heck you had people like Rachael Zeglar actively admit to disliking the IP that they actively corrode. I think nostaligia is being mass weaponised.

Nothing in this game is different to the source material, if it was I could see your own point

I started again on novice and there are still no easy missions at in Stormkapp. Lol. I think I might last longer this time though. I'm always afraid of missing mechanics on the easiest difficulty of a game but it seems like a poor idea to start on the middle difficulty here.

Those difficulty levels are not really a good way to judge how hard the missions really are. Some "normal" missions are harder than the "hard" ones. The difficulty levels also do not change based on your party level either so all hard missions in Stormkapp become laughably easy later on. I personally waited til i crafted a full set of level 2 gear for each companion from the black smith before taking those on.

Like you, my first play through ran out of money and food and basically failed. On my second play, I got into trading the trade goods (amber) from Stormkapp and bringing them to Cortia to get some cash flow coming in. I payed 200 gold to go over the border instead of waiting to get the free one from completing Tiltren. All 3 trade good types from each of these towns can be brought to the other town and sold for profit 100% of the time. I did buy some food with some of my profits to sustain my trade route. After several rounds of trading, I had a few thousand gold and could finally afford to do things.

After getting a foothold, I was able to purchase the tavern in Stormkapp and started making a little money that way too. This requires DLC to do though. Trading early on I feel is the best way to go though.

Trust all of us, it's great without me knowing anything about the game unless they screw up stuff like optimization, etc. The problem is you not knowing the story up to this point (MGS 3). Playing MGS 1 then 2 first would have a much bigger impact on you than playing MGS 3 first. MGS series is a very story heavy game
