Sure, if people want to disable them via a toggle, then yea give them that option. I wouldn't care. But honestly the Cosmetic-Free worlds seems like the easier route if it sticks, since people who don't want to see cosmetics can just hop to that world if it bothers them that much. I'd rather see 10 more of those kinds of worlds pop up than the toggle be implemented. Less coding required.

Worry less about coding and think more about the result: say player A doesn't want to see cosmetics, but his friend player B does. If disabling cosmetics is tied to a world, those two players can no longer play together without one of them giving up their choice to either see or hide cosmetics. If that's not enough, now imagine a similar situation but in a clan instead.

I don't know why Jagex chose to do it on a per-world basis in the experiment, but it needs to be a toggle afterwards. It'd be just as ridiculous and half-assed if you had to choose a specific world to be able to remove roofs in the game. Graphics options exist for a reason.
