So, I had a 6700XT 12GB before, then received a 3070 Ti 8GB wihch I didn't even try in here since it uses more VRAM than that.
I have an Asus B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi II
Ryzen R9 5900x (fully tweaked, PBO, 125mhz boost, per core CO, etc)
2x16GB DDR4 3600 C16 dual rank RAM tuned timings/sub-timings

I have a 27" 2560x1440 144hz HDR monitor, so... I play everything in 1440p since 1080p looks bad on a 27" monitor.

But the RT KILLED my performance with the 6700XT. FSR? UGLY. I was getting like 20fps in the part where we flash back to 'Nam.

I just recently, FINALLY, got a new GPU.

Ya know, I was considering buying a used 3080 12GB, i imagine it handles the RT fine in this game. After almost getting a used 3080 12GB, I got the RTX 5070Ti 16GB, instead.

I'm not bragging. I'm on Zen 3. I run DDR4. I don't have an x3D CPU.
BUT, I will say, for a Zen 3 5900x rig (my 5900x is the B2 stepping, the best stepping made of the 5900x), I feel like I have the best possible Zen 3 set up I can have, SHORT of having a 5800x3D. But, at 1440p, the x3D doesn't really give any gains.

The gains come from Zen 4/5 with DDR5 RAM. I can wait to get a 9950x3D. 8 cores of pure power and IPC, and 8 cores of pure 3D Cache for gaming. While the 5900x has 12c/24t, I don't want a 6c12t CPU with x3D... BF5 pushes my 5900x to 60-65% REAL usage, not Task Manager usage, thats' more like 80% lol.

So, I'll either get a 9800x3D OR a 9950x3D. 8c/16t is the new meta for modern AAA games, ESPECIALLY on UE5 and Frostbite games. 6c/12t just can't handle those games, anymore.

So, what's my point. I can FINALLY enjoy this game as intended.

I think I'm gonna try 4K with no DLSS and see if it can handle it.. if not, 1440p no DLSS will be fine, I'm sure.

I'm just hyped, because I've had this game forever, but couldn't play it the way I wanted with the 6700XT 12GB with Gen 1 RT cores, and only 40 RT cores at that. AMD should have doubled the RT cores.

I mean, I played Cyberpunk 2077 with path tracing and it was like NOTHING.

I'm not bragging, my point is... I'm finally experiencing what you guys have got to enjoy for a long time, now.

I like how The Stars Above takes elements from Starbound like the nova kid you meet and the way each mini world feels like a Starbound planet, just wish the mod had more and expanded more upon everything.

As title says, any other driver will simply cause horrid stutter issues in any VR situation as soon as I move my head, making it unplayable and forcing me to switch between latest drivers and these drivers if I want to VR.

My GPU is an RX 9070 if that is of any use. I have no idea what could be causing this other than driver issues? Anyone have any advice or help?

I also got "eat sand" the first time around, but my second run I got "smush bugs."

I find this EA boring. Yes, there is less content than I expected. The graphics updated at some point but it's still kinda meh. Pop fell.. bc theres not a lot to do after a certain point. If it were me, I would lean into a slightly more mature art style than the current iteration.

I was referring to the 2000s wow / fantasy cartoon art style. Something more modern but not necessarily "realistic" would be amazing for it, imo.

I think I have gotten a pretty good idea of perspectives here. There's kind of valid points on both sides. Idk what "break ball dev" means or how that applies here.

no vacban, but a gameban. and no not 180 days but 226 days. Gamebans for CS2 can be given for one of a few things, being toxic is one of those things as well. and its permanent
