How is a thread I titled, "Remember the slider for barbarian aggression?" Not understood to be specifically about the ability in previous Civ games to fine-tune the barbarians to be challenging, without being the focus of the first era?

As the OP, I think I can definitively say I meant what I said. My second reply (my third entry in the thread including the original) even explains, I know I can turn them off, but I like the variety they add to the game, and wish for a return to barbarians being a cool feature.

It had to default to something -- "off" was chosen.

The need to equate the choice to some Freudian / Jungian motive is ... sad.
A choice was made. Simple. Don't like the default? You can adjust it. Simple.
