That is why you don't really retire your fort but make a separate save when retiring, use it to look at the legends, then delete it and load your fort.

you can delete them one by one in the the load screen of the game itself untill you find one that works.

I found manual saves are sometimes also helpful and do work when the autosaves are corrupted.

Ps.
If you are using a cheat engine / game trainer, disable the moneyhack and only enable it once at the vending machine.
In some points of the game it corrupts all saves and also blocks some passage for some reason.

Other solution is to download working save games and paste it in your save game folder and start the game where you left

Even if this re-launch isn't perfect, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend anyone who loves The Sims 1 to get this game.

what are you talking about. if someone fight a boss, you can see him/her for the half discrict. how you can fight a boss secretly. even if you run inside a building, everybody can see you from outside when cast skills, you and boss, both.

let me tell you something about the detections etc. when i was taget and follow someone for gank. it was very fun to see him/her do the "anti-gank process", means spam detection skills, shields, put the weapon to blocking. it was so funny...to see him/her so careful....before be ganked...
