You can freely run conveyor belts between bases, so nothing stopping you making one 100% about excavating resources, move to a second base for processing, then a 3rd base for storage/OCL.

yup thats right, i use multiple base cores you also need to place them outside the cores anyways for ore that isnt in a build area of a nearby base core
