There is still software to interface to the NOW servers.

It's basically VNC (NOW uses hardware accelerations, I think), but blackboxed with god-knows-what passing between your computer (gotta have the hardware) and their cloud.

All "cloud game" models work that way, Remote video signals sent to you, you send controller signals to them. I can't confirm NOW is "spying" but be assured they are collecting data, to make money from, and you are paying them to do it.

у меня точно такая-же проблема но у меня нету мода sharpeye вот коллекция https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3276561969 может в ней есть какой-то мод который мешает

You can bring back Karl by getting a rebellion at Altdorf. Basically get some lords to raid your own province.

Then once he pops up let him take the city and make peace with him.

After that you can try to confederate him because it is possible with all human to confederate all the other Empire factions.
