I agree though. I mostly don't mind the linear dungeon POI's, but those areas where you are forced into alerting a whole room of zombies, who only spawn once you enter that room, is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.
Like, there is a tower where you have to drop down into the middle of a room from above, only to get swarmed by ferals and rad zombies. Where is the fun in that? You can't strategize, you can't retreat, you can't stealth. Its some of the worst game design in 7Days tbh. Not to mention, its really easy to break quests by not following the exact rout they want you to. So you can't even work around it.

I don't think they will change this system though. I remember them adding these spawns to optimize the game, because a POI filled with zombies at all times ruined performance. Plus there was far less back then.
There are definitely better ways to handle it, I just don't expect them to put in the effort.

Idk, if we keep dropping the review scores and telling them why we are disappointed, maybe there is the tiniest sliver of a chance they will fix these issues.

I'll admit I've had wave 42 destroy me more than most other waves. And the balancing definitely shifts there and could use some tweaking going forward.

However, losing at 42 is almost always because RNG was REALLY bad or I made a lot of dumb decisions / wasn't paying attention. Usually all of the above. (Or I played as a leader I'm not particularly good at, and was reminded of why i don't play them as much.) I can pretty regularly get into the 50's with almost any leader, and quite a few into the 60's are no problem. One of them I can get into the 70's with regularly.

And I know personally one person who had the money bug happen one time, but I have not.

I bought the skin pack because I want the game to succeed, and I thought the skins looked great. But I find it absolutely unacceptable that the developer released a paid skin pack when the game is in such a terrible state. In fact, the skin pack came out before the game even received its first major performance patch to address the widespread issues preventing people from running it properly.

Here’s how I see it: they allocated resources and time to develop and publish a paid cosmetic DLC while the core game is falling apart. Almost every fundamental system is unfinished or broken. It doesn’t matter that it’s “just skins.” When a large studio releases DLC, it usually comes after the main game is finished and functional.

In this case, the game deserves a lot of the negative reviews it’s getting. It is not a functional or enjoyable experience. Beautiful art doesn’t make a good game. Games need substance, polish, and a satisfying gameplay and progression loop. In my opinion, the current version of the game has none of those things. It’s a buggy, barely working mess of disconnected ideas and systems with no cohesion.

But you realize that the developers themselves literally said in the past that these skins are from artists who get paid for them, and that the developers won't get paid for them. Or at least that's how I understood it.


On the other hand, I understand that, but I still stand by my opinion that if they don't literally release 50 DLCs with skins at once and the game is still in a broken state, then it's not a problem. People mustn't forget that this is an indie studio working on a huge project, and this is their first game.

I get you. And this is why I bough the pack even though I did not support it being released when it did. As long as they don't start spamming paid DLC every few months, I am fine with it. But I also think it's valid for people to be angry about it and I really do think developers should have put in a bit more work into the game before they decided to release a skin pack.

As for where the money goes, I really hope it does go to the artists, they are the ones carrying this entire project on their backs.

Oof, if the world isn't simulated outside of player location but it keeps charging maintenance costs, that's rough. Hopefully it's looked into - would be awesome if the world was more active/simulated :)

4070 ti Super with 5800X3D and I've had to downsample to roughly 1440p (70%) of a 2160p Borderless default, since Grounded has always been really awkward with how it forces native res - which isn't helpful on large living room displays. With High settings I can pretty much get a 60fps lock by doing this, which isn't ideal.

Why the heck DLSS or some other upscaling solution isn't available is absolutely baffling.

Also, still no HDR? I've had to use Special K to inject it, which works well at least. Come on though, native in-game HDR needs to be added at some point, as my this world looks beautiful with it enabled.

i hope that in the next update they add DLSS or FSR 3. that would have maybe solved the performance. anyway, let's hope right? I've loved this game since the first one and I want to see everything going well for it and for everyone
