The developers at Embark Studios found that integrating PvP elements alongside PvE created a more engaging and unpredictable gameplay experience, enhancing the game's tension and strategic depth. Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal noted that this evolution "surfaced the best version of what this game could become," as the combination of AI-controlled ARC machines and human opponents added a dynamic layer of risk and reward. The shift was intended to make missions feel more significant, where every decision could lead to great rewards or instant loss, aligning with the studio's vision for a high-stakes, survival-driven experience. THE PVE ONLY VERSION WAS LESS COMPELLING IN COMPARISON!

and thats why i no longer log in, it no longer feels like arrakis "the most dangerous planet in the universe" - every action now feels empty, theres no risk or threat to getting that next resource or item, no tension or suspense while out harvesting, no value or rarity of materials to build an economy around, no reasons or purpose to interact or team up with other players - the whole world feels less organic, less enjoyable and overall a disappointment now (atleast for me)

Well yes. You have a legitimate gripe with Funcom and you should take it up with them. Complaining to PvE players will get you nothing but a lot of grief from them. You are just confirming the stereotype that most PvE players have of PvP players (that they are selfish and only think of themselves for one thing).

It is Funcom that ruined your fun with this game. They had a clear choice. Give both the PvP and PvE players what they want, or only give one group of players what they want. No idea why they chose the PvE players over the PvP players, but I suspect they looked at what was the biggest market and went with that. Apparently the choice that would have made everyone happy would have cost them too much to implement.
