1. Warhammer Fantasy LOVES it's stereotypes. So much so that all of it's Human factions are based off of regional/cultural stereotypes (negatives cranked to 11/10) and most of it's non-Human factions are also based off of Human stereotypes.

2. Both CA and WotC are British companies, the British are known for a lot of awful negative and inaccurate stereotypes. Particularly towards the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Thus making content based on (most of) those places is a catch-22 for both CA and WotC, given that 'WF' relies on stereotypes.

3. Asia represents a huge gaming market, so CA and WotC created the modern version of Cathay, which is all rainbows and sprinkles and nobody suffers, because the Chinese market eats that ♥♥♥♥ up and the CCP doesn't censor it. As soon as the Middle East is a suitably profitable market Araby will arrive. Granted it will be a sanitized version of Araby where everyone is super happy and life is good.

I followed the following advice and am now able to play both DLCs on Steam ME1.

1. Run the game once
2. Go to <path-to-game>.
3. Open installscript.vdf with a text editor
4. Replace %CDKEY% with 5GUCXRFPQNBMTJBD3L5J
5. Run the game again
6. Reinstall the DLCs
