CoD spinoff? Battlefield is older then CoD and even before that we had Medal of Honor Allied Assault, nothing about CoD is original or groundbreaking. True CoD is the popular FPS, but CoD was a spinoff of Medal of honor and the battlefield mechanism already existed way before CoD implemented it in their Multiplayer game modes.

I don;t think you understand what I was referring to. many people complain about the non-classic battlefield games (anything released after 2006) feel too much like COD with the run and gun and bullet hose guns. That's what i was referring to in my post with how elements like infinite stamina and bullet pool vs mag pool contributing to this shift in overarching gameplay.

you are probably right, i don't know. i just want to point, shoot and see someone drop dead in front of me in the game. if that is not your thing, i understand.

Life is to short for caring about these game mechanics, i played a lot of Wolfenstein 3D in my early 20's when it came out and then Doom, Duke Nukem and Quake. Games change, alot for the good and alot not that great. the market is to big too satisfy the needs of every player, everybody needs to adjust and do what is best for you.

The majority and most populair goes before nostalgia and personal preferences, companies will always go for what sells the best and fast paced run and gun is what sells right now. it is what the majority of players want and there is nothing you or me can do about it,if you want to relive the golden time of gaming, you could always set up a server and see if people are interested in playing those games with you.

It just places you in regular conquest. If they say that regular conquest was a popular choice, they are clearly fudging their own numbers

Ok, but they start with 200 after colonization and there are 200 jobs from the colony building, so do I basically just need to build some new buildings/districts to get them to start growing? I thought they would take up the 200 jobs and new pops would become civilians and then when I had enough, I'd build a new building/district at that point, but I guess I need to build to attract new pops?

You always build at least two other buildings once your planet is colonised. one that generates amenities, and one that generates security. Once you get some buildings that increase pop assembly speed, you build those immediately too. Also build a housing district and several districts of whatevers the most common. Your planetary population will grow much faster if there are jobs/housing to take up.
