OP cried about gen speeds being nerfed. I corrected, adding why gen speeds "feel" quicker (they are not) you cried about my post and continue to. If you don't like the answer, find the block button so i don't have to child speak ("git gud") so you can understand.

You cant. Expeditions are locked to fighting mode.
You can not loot as in other games, you must manualy take items by your units and focus on each units carry capacity.
If you dont have backpacks, you most propably will loot close to nothing.
That is why it is important to first visit locations with propable backpacks.

Aside from carry capacity, you take loot manualy by selecting your units and clicking on enemy or the box you want to take items from (on terms of big containers it is allways the left tile box of the storage, the other one will not work. Right click it and select items that are remarked as "loo item x" or "pick up item x" - these two options mean that you will place the items in your inventory.

If none of these popup, you dont have enough capacity to pick them up.
- you also need to take into account that two things count on terms if you can pick them up: items weight and items volume - so if either one of those is bigger than what you have available in your inventory, you will not be able to pickup items= they will not show in the menu.

I don't care about photorealism. The old game looks better. I find the old faces more attractive and the simplistic graphics more appropriate for the simplistic, narrow levels.

I don't want over-the-shoulder combat and the magnetic stickiness of automatic cover in MGS. MGS5 is one of the worst games in the main series.

if they wanted my money, they should have made the areas longer and wider. As far as I know, none of the dialogue contradicts longer and wider areas. The spaces are too small to allow for enough emergent gameplay. You have to go out of your way to make things happen. With the new abilities, a game that was already easy will be even easier. They had to expand the areas for this remake to not be worthless. Everything else should have remained mostly the same.

weird bug, i dont know whats causing it but its making red particles whenever an npc is damaged

Could you please look at the console and paste the message if its shows any error or something at the time of the npc getting damaged?

I am seeing the red X's as well. It either the tracers or particles, I'm not too sure.

This mod's versions of the AR2's and similar are working, but the standard HL2 version is not for some reason.

The enemy projectiles are really hard to perceive, you can see them even from behind cover which messes with my perception in how close they are to you, the first entity boss is high up in the air but it does ground circle effects, do you want me to look at the boss or the ground? I cant do both.
