For over a week now, Ark is constantly patching and verifying files. I keep seeing things like how it's broken, but is anyone else experiencing constant patching? how do I stop it from doing this? i can't launch the game because it never actually completes patching or verifying files.

Which Is Better??

I feel it, I just play on Normal/Daring but the only difficulty I've had is a couple of fights (like the Viszier fight) where half my party gets KO'd before anyone besides Cassia got a turn. Most of my party only has 80ish wounds and the stronger enemies do 50ish damage per attack. IF I survive until Heinrix/Kibellah/RT get a turn then its snowball time

how about we blame the people giving young people unfettered access to the internet? they can't actually buy an internet account nor a cellphone. maybe crack down on wifi hotspots without a password?

there are laws in place to punish those who provide young people with access to inappropriate content, so maybe blame those responsible rather than using it as an excuse to collect EVERYONES personal info?


and ofc WOTC is very interested in the average age of people playing MTG, it's a thing they talk about often.

Their are laws yes, but you still have to enforce the law, what's the point in making it illegal if you just let kids continue to not verify their age and just continue to mindlessly interact with these outlets. It 100% sucks and personally I feel like if the world is going to keep pursuing this directive, that everyone should be issued an "online ID" that doesn't have anything tied to it other take your government verified age (they have this information from the moment you get a birth certificate anyways), name and country but in that same breath your stuck in this weird limbo where something like this would be good, but it would also give every company under the sun incentive to ask for this "online ID".

You don't have to like it but I'm afraid you're objectively wrong about the fan fiction thing; it's accepted canon as of BG3 at least.

I actually haven't had a difficulty problem in the mesa. I had much more trouble in the tropics by comparison. Still, glad for the fixes, especially the TNT line of sight!

On a more-related note, is the Controller archetype releasing with a normal amount of powers compared to the other archetypes? If not, is there any sort of guess as to when it'll be getting more love? In the last video I saw, it looked like it only had two sets whereas the other archetypes each had several.

Granted, if any archetype was gonna take one for the team so the game could launch on time, I'd have picked controllers too, so I get it. A couple of my favorite characters in City of Heroes are controllers but yeah I'll acknowledge they make up a tiny percentage of my roster compared to other archetypes.

There’s such a thing as toxic positivity and implying Crytek are doing more than they are regarding cheaters is a prime example of this.

Most of us here hate cheaters, we also hate Crytek giving them a free pass… you saying Crytek are actioning reports and replying with 0 proof in the face of multiple people saying the opposite is more harmful than good. Prove it…

You’re actively harming the game by inventing things in an attempt to let Crytek off the hook for their atrocious response to the cheater problem, they need to be held to account not praised by white knights.

Again happy to be proved wrong but you’ve spent page and pages of replies just stating an untruth and asking us to trust you, we don’t…
