Which game? I ask because in the post you're quoting I mention three different games, it's discussing AM4/5700X performance more than anything else and it's a post from before the launch of Sword of the Sea.

If you're talking about Sword of the Sea then I kind of agree. It's pretty consistent and there's no traversal stutter that I've seen but I don't think it earns the hit to performance it makes. The gorgeous graphics come more from visual design than technical mastery. If it's using Nanite and/or Lumen I bet they could be replaced with other less sophisticated methods and, assuming that would result in increased performance, it would gain more than it lost.

The lack of scalability is a problem too. The quality settings don't do a lot to improve performance. Only lowering the resolution/scaling has any notable effect that I can see on my own hardware. I do like the game - I've played through it twice now and would like to go through again to find stuff that I've missed - but performance is disappointing.

I cannot even fathom why this game is such a ressource hog, was this game optimized for a 5090? Even on 50% resolution and medium everything i cannot even keep 144, i have a 7800x3d and a 9070xt btw just to remind you that my upgrade paths are either a 5080 or a 5090 and i cannot understand why a game would need so much ressource

Can't open envelope for today. The game reset for the day but it says I have collected it already when I click the envelope nothing shows for today's date.

Enemy team:
Super coordinated, uses abilities and ults to counter.

My team:
Use abilities whenever CD is over. Sigma doing absorb on poke range with 95% HP for example.
Pharah with clipped wings (on ground all the time) and when she is finally in the air. She tries to snipe with her ult.

The FPS in the game can drop to literally two frames at random moments, and the video card can become 100% loaded at that moment, with 70% of the video memory in use. This can happen even immediately after loading a save, and there seems to be no pattern to it. Has anyone else encountered this? Is it a problem with the game or the driver? (3080ti graphics card)

The same as capital ships: L plasma and M flak.

It's random.

From my recent play session, I would say 1/10 quests has extra items.
There are 6 possible objects (2 statues, 2 jewelry, vases and gold ingots).

So roughly every 60 quests you should get some golden necklace.

RNG being RNG, you could easily do 100+ missions and not get a single one.

I would generally recommend to only take quests for items that you already have to avoid this.

For Killing Floor 1 I used right mouse for healing, you could use the same & just use middle mouse for iron sights it it would be easier for you, as I can understand that issue

For me the right mouse was easier & offered more accuracy, as you'd need a steady hand, & clicking the middle mouse button is usually out of place

When in Killing Floor 1 you didn't have homing darts, but with right mouse you always have a steady hand, but would remain as an issue to needing to use iron sights if you did change it as such

I know I make a lot of posts, but it's feedback nonetheless, I want to understand & help for the time we have, for the hopes this game will be improved & may get better, despite how others may think

I'm afraid this is a fundemental issue with the simulation, you'd need an object less massive than Jupiter, but objects below a certain mass threshold cannot be stars.

One thing you can try is disabling the stars "Attract Others" property. This will prohibit it from attracting other objects to itself and may make it easier to put into orbit; massive objects are still affected by the gravity of less massive objects.

would a heated planet work?

Do you mean for the orbiting object? It should work, just keep in mind it won't heat up other objects, and it may cool down over time.
