In fact, the game should be much more difficult than it is now. At the first stage, you simply adapt to the rhythm and mechanics, and once you get used to it and upgrade your weapons to at least the second mystery level, the game doesn't seem so difficult, and in some aspects it even becomes easier. Even Gnosis doesn't greatly affect the difficulty.

Alt+Shift before starting the game: shifts to the QWERTY keyboard in Windows.

That being said, AZERTY keyboards (and other layouts) should be considered by the devs. Most games do.

No game I have ever played has implemented AZERTY.....Only France and Belgium uses that setup.

Vandal Hearts and that other srpg with the fantastical (holy/mythological?) mechs were two I played shortly after FFT back in the day and I think I preferred both over FFT at the time. Probably won't ever go back and verify how good those 2 were, but I wouldn't be mad at a crossover/remaster/sequel to those 2 games.

They're niche in the West, but I do genuinely think 3 had the sauce to be much more popular if it had been better translated/marketed and got a little more polish on the UX front. The new game is already generating some buzz at Gamescom, which is way more of a marketing uplift than 3 ever got.

I'm hopeful the team is able to translate what made the game so appealing to me to a bigger budget production.
