If your struggling, go back and keep working on gear and skills a bit more then try again. It may not "feel" like your getting stronger but over time you most certainly are, even if its so subtle that you don't notice. When I first tried bronze she beat the snot out of me badly. Second time I couldnt even GET to her because Katino plus elemental equals wipe. So I went and did more grinding, more gear enhancing and refining, and tried again....I'd like to tell you it was a heroic success, but nope....I ALMOST had her and she beat me silly like an ugly stepchild once more....

SO I headed into the den of earth and back to the beginning abyss. Even reset it from fresh start and did it all again, adding more stats and upgrades and feeding unwanted characters as I went.

And the third time was the charm. I smacked her down so hard her ancestors are still groaning in pain this moment....

LOVE this game.
