Secure Boot was introduced in 2012 starting with Windows 8, and has been a standard security feature for Windows since then.

It's also required to run Windows 11, and future OS. With Microsoft constantly reminding users to upgrade to Windows 11 ASAP since all prior OS will soon be unsupported, making them extremely dangerous to use with an online connection.

It's also pre-enabled on the vast majority of computers sold globally, and has been many years at this point.

So how in the world did you manage to build a computer this year that has components that somehow make it impossible to run a standard Windows feature from 2012, that is now required to run Windows 11 and beyond? :lunar2019deadpanpig:

What are you talking about secure boot is a standard? I built my rig in 2022 and secureboot was NOT enabled by default.

People who want to hold an opinion should read it. Pages 5, 6 and 7 if taken at face value makes it look like Krafton have a fair claim and any other publisher might well have done the same in their place. Looks very much like they thought they could squeeze out something below par and just coast to that fat bonus with no effort.

Maybe they thought it was going to be like BZ where they could just ignore their detractors. BZ killed off alot of good will for UWE and considering Krafton dropped a half billion $ on the IP did anybody imagine they would sit by and watch it sink and implode?

well WTF, i was in the game and it suddenly kicked me out with cannot connect to server browser and thats all i get now. i can go Lan or Single player but friend wont be happy?

If you're looking for advice, I don't use them, that's my advice. I use power switches instead, and manually turn them on.

Shriekers will first prioritize getting to your humans to attack them. However, if they are triggered by something else first -- like turrets -- they will instead attack the turrets. Then your turrets die. And turrets are expensive to repair.

Shriekers often end up attacking flamethrowers by default (without motion sensors) as the flamethrowers attacking smaller, faster bugs angers them. HOWEVER, if you have sirens, they do an awfully good job at distracting, and are much cheaper to repair than flamethrowers and, especially, turrets.

Obviously, sirens should also be on the same power switch.
