Those in the EU will at least be saved from having to provide copies of their government-issued IDs.

The government issued ID is classified as special sensitive personal data under the GDPR, that you're not allowed to process except for a few special exemptions. The only exemption which could apply is one that allows such sensitive personal data to be processed where it serves an important public interest based in law and is considered proportionate to the aim pursued.

This however isn't the case- as the demand for age verification in the EU flow from the Digital Services Act, Article 28. Paragraph 1 of that article establishes the responsibility of online platforms to take reasonable action to shield minors from harmful content on their platform, but paragraph 3 explicitly states platforms cannot be legally obliged to use a means of age verification to fulfill their duties under the first paragraph when that method requires them to collect additional personal data from their users.

This means the law itself considers collecting any additional personal data for age verification non-essential and disproportionate.

This also compounds with the fact that government issued IDs have something of a super-special status in the GDPR, where EU member states are allowed to individually retain additional laws governing which entities may process the IDs. And many member states do just that, and retain laws that basically don't allow the private sector to process them - period. Except for a few very narrow-band and well-defined exceptions; such as payroll, healthcare, financial, and insurance.


In short - being required to upload copies of your ID isn't happening in the EU, ever.
Everything is legally far too tied up and bolted shut to allow for it there.

right so, is medic stacking annoying to you? two people healing the same target makes them build über slower, do you think that's annoying? if so, how do you play around it? changing mediguns? pocketing someone on the flank? verbal abuse?

medic stacking really depends, if it's just another medic who's doing their own thing? cool
if they're healing the same person as me because i have shiny hat and you must imitate the shiny hat haver? I politely tell them please do something else.

if they're using the quickfix I might votekick.

If none of that works I play around it by requeuing or healing the more "special" players and hope the other medic can carry instead.

I played all the games since old times 1942 and this aint battlefield. The closest it ressembles is BF3 close quarters, because its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ small maps squads focused.

Shout out to you for being a real day-one fan. Because the general consensus I'm getting from observing commentary on Steam is no one actually played this franchise before BF3. And it's really depressing.

I've played since the Bad Company days. This game appeals more to CoD fans than ever before. If you fail to see it, then it can't be helped. You think a big corporation is truly going to go back it "it's roots"?

I had a playtest going from the initial release, guards were not using crossbows. I saw this thread, turned off/back on my guard towers, still no crossbows with 20+ in storage. I started a new game, thinking it may be save-related, and my soldiers have crossbows, but guards still do not, even with surplus. Did it break again? Can more people weigh in on this? I used to use crossbow guards quite a bit at chokepoints, and now I find myself just getting a barracks with crossbowmen instead. Towers feel useless after year 20 still using bows, even with the tower upgrade.

There was a bug initially but it has been fixed.
Click on Town Center, on the left sidebar select Policy at the bottom of the list and enable Hunters and Guards can equip crossbows

Cool, thanks dude. Haven't messed around with policies at all, didn't even know how to find them.
