What exactly is the problem with ranching Dumuds?? They just spawn in, flop their way over to the ranch(es) and produce oil. I swap out my ranches between milk, eggs, wool, and oil as my needs change. Once you have a guild chest available, you can set up a farming/breeding/ranching base off on some large, flat area like the beach and set it up so pals transport everything to the guild storage. You literally only need to visit to drop off food & cakes, and swap out breeders & ranch pals.

First, lets get this out of the way. I don't "hate" Dumuds. They do however look the worst of the ranchable pals. They look like a beached whale and flop around like a dying fish. They also represent the whaling industry, which is... well... exactly what it sounds like. While I have no problems with them game-play wise or lore wise. I feel like they just don't fit the farming aesthetic ranching represents.

A possible fix may be using the nexus to start a mission and enter that galaxy/area of the host and/or mission to instantly travel far away from your current position, call in your freight, and test its map too

IDK who thought the "aggressor" mechanic was the fix for friendlies taking friendly gear but there are WAY too many factors that make you an aggressor...My buddy went down and i had to use his medical supplies to revive him and then i couldnt get any of my own stuff back even though I waited near my body for the 30 aggressor timer. You can... unload the weapon, you get all your rounds back. Your weapon not firing isn't a game feature, there is something else going on there, either bad hardware with your mouse or serious latency issues.

I think you're right about the misfiring, something on my end. Ill have to experiment a little more as well but when you load, say a 30rd magazine into a weapon and you rack it (29 in mag 1 in chamber) unloading only gives you the 29 back. The shotgun is the only thing I've noticed that clears the chamber from doing that.

Pictos give stats and passive bonuses. Winning four encounters while a Pictos is equipped unlocks it as a Lumina. The character wearing the Pictos must be alive at the end of combat, however. You don't have to win four fights in a row. You just have to win four fights total while any Pictos are equipped.

Luminas are Pictos, but only the passive effects. They cost Lumina points to equip. The cost varies between them. You can increase the Lumina point of a character by leveling up or using "Colour of Lumina"s you can find through combat or exploration. To note, there is no cap to your max Lumina points. You can pretty much go as high as you need or want.

You can see the cost of a Lumina on the Pictos itself. It's the small faded number at the top-right of the tooltip when you select one in the menu. The usual strategy is to put them on, win four fights, then taking them off to use them as Lumina (unless you want to keep the stats).

I'm not entirely sure about this one, but the level seems to only the stat bonuses you get from the Pictos. It doesn't seem to strengthen the passives/Luminas unless I missed it.

I'm a bit happy that some indie game with a concept of a making stories still grows that good. I played it when it was in A16 and even then it was great.
