Sorry, but the easter egg was not completed in the game. The developers haven't had time to finish it, and they haven't deleted the remnants of it from the files.

From what I remember devs said it's in long term plans, but atm they have other priorities. Don't expect it any time soon

We don't even need a GD2 the devs on this game are fire other games should take note.. if anything maybe a graphic overhaul to keep with the times and the game will have another 10 years

People jumping to white knight the devs in this post are huffing pure copium. Saying peanut brain things like "Dont you know it takes a long time to do updates when programming a game" There are millions of games and yet the pace of 3 years between major updates is exclusive to zomboid even games with only 1 developer manage to move faster. Removing multiplayer for months to years each update is exclusive to zomboid. Updates should be developed with multiplayer in mind and the fixes should come while multiplayer is already available. I dont agree that the updates barely add anything often the major updates are packed with content, but that is because its been 3 - 4 years in the making so course it is. Its pretty insane that they are happy to leave the game without multiplayer for so long when in my opinion it should be their number 1 priority. The sparse update schedule would feel less annoying if i werent sat checking the patch notes of every one they put out hoping to find multiplayer was added only to see minor changes and fixes. Imagine if every time dayz or 7 days to die put out an update if multiplayer was removed for this long. The games would not survive. Every other game on earth manages to release updates without the need to disable the multiplayer and not just for a few days or a week or even a month but for years. Its ridiculous and should not be applauded. The game is great i doubt anyone would disagree but something needs to change with their work flow, there are games developed by 1 guy or a very small team that crank updates out quicker than PZ and they also manage to do it without disabling multiplayer for months to years at a time.

Project Zomboid multiplayer still works on the stable branch. It doesn't work on B42 which is an unstable test branch.

You can Varuca Salt it all you want, but you can't have it right now. You'll have to wait.

On the upside, this is a fantastic learning experience to make back-ups on long projects.
