In its current form, BF6 is guaranteed not to crush COD. Rather, it will show its competitors what they need to do slightly differently to remain a strong counterpoint to BF6. To gain the upper hand, more needs to happen, especially by solving the cheating problem and bring some fresh air to the game imo. Competition stimulates business, but for now, COD can sit back and relax and won't have to make any real effort. Thus, these two powerhouses of the genre will remain the same, without bringing any real innovations. Shame.
