After seeing ARK do this, ALL game companies will be doing this seeing you people will buy anything.

The old game engine ran out of memory for Grounded 1. That has literally always been the case with updates for Grounded 1. That's why they also had to cut a bunch of content from the first game as well. They've said it several times that the game engine was limited with what they wanted to do. Comparing Grounded to Ark is crazy, especially considering how predatory Studio Wildcard is/was.

For a game in early beta, it looks promising.
I can see a great deal of potential in this game if the developers can take a bit of care with it, willing to hear their customers outside their discord crap and social trollworking sites have to say, i can see it being a fascinating experience, a mix between automation, survival and other aspects.

Good start even with the game being poorly optimised at this point. I'll come back to this tomorrow and hope i can get a few more things noted.

One of the well-known high-FPS issues.

Although you can also just limit FPS manually -- f.e. by choosing a 50/60Hz outpt and VSync in the game's "Graphics" options -- installing FusionFix is recommended. Best to also then still use the frame-limiter that is then available from the game's "Graphics" options to limit to e.g. 50 FPS. Installing FF is a matter of unpacking a .zip to the game folder. yep tested it, pretty useless in common situations.

so if you ignore yes man as an 'oops I killed everyone failsafe to end the game'

there are 3 endings. the legion which is a bunch of raiders and slavers held together by ceasar and will not outlast his death. and he has terminal cancer.

perhaps the courier replaces him if the legion succeeds pushing it forward, but the courier was shot in the head and well, has severe ADHD and doesn't really focus on leading anything.

so if the legion takes over 20 years later the NCR will come in and take the place over.

the NCR is basically well, California, you know how california runs things, you got human rights and trade, but extremely soft on crime, extremely high taxes, and you need premission to get things done, which takes ages.

then you got house, who has lived 200 years, but he let the courier into his vault. and the chip went inside as well, once house does inevitably die, the NCR will take over because the region will be undefended and the legion will be figthing amonst itself post ceasar's death.

so by siding with house you get a healthier strip siding with a healthier NCR 10-20 years down the line, its my opinion at least that house does not have many years left either, NCR will win ultimately no matter who you chose as the other two factions have no successor planned.

right now taking the strip seems a bit of a reach, so its better to give it to house, have him create a buffer between NCR and Legion sell power to NCR and eventually when he kicks the bucket, and legion dissolves NCR takes the region over

it is yes, but kris cannot seal the fountains without us, which is needed to progress, afterall.

i mean you can choose to not enjoy kris acting in a way you dislike, but they *are* making fountains, and that is part of the story.

you can dislike the character, and even wish to oppose their goals, but in the end you're still not kris, you're the soul, you have your own actions that you do while controlling them, and that is an important part of the story.

ill contuine to repeat it: you can not like it, but this is the story the game is telling, if you dislike it, there are so many other games that tell a traditional story.

but telling a unique story draws in many people, as this game shows.

Then in that case, I dislike the story. I'm here for the gameplay, because this story is driving me up a wall, and feels designed to get people like me angry. A game impossible for me to let's play in my way finally exists.

Can I add to this with some ants are clipping through the ground near ant hill entrances. Only happening with worker ants
