There's nothing I find more toxic than all the 'meritocracy' culture spammed by internet gurus all over the place. This game is very, very different to Civ. The main selling point of the series is being able to command armies in real time.

If you've never played a total war game before there is a lot to learn. If you have played a formation-based tabletop wargame then you might have a bit of a head start but you are likely to struggle until you learn how this kind of warfare works.

There is pretty wild variation in how armies are set up. From essentially ancient armies like lizard men and tomb kings, through to gunpowder and linear warfare through to essentially late 19thC/WW1 industrial armies like skaven and chaos dwarfs. This means the whole game is a lot more complicated that the historical titles.

If you want an easier line into the series check out Shogun 2. If you don't mind diving head first into a massive game and likely suck a lot at first, start here.

I cant get past Tebourbra Pass and idk how. Ive played as both sides and it seems like I had the right things to get a victory but the other side always wins. Idk if its that I cant get past the first point you have to conquer but everytime I lose, it doesnt matter which side Im on.

Oh they know. It's part of their trolling method. You notice every few posts he/she just sort of 'resets'. They can't veer far off script, so eventually they just repeat the main point and hope someone else comes along to argue it. They know they are lying. They don't care. The only thing that matters is attention. And they are using a very old, but effective method. They don't mind looking ignorant or stupid as long as they get the sweet attention. That's how they quality victory. "I don't care about my own time, so wasting yours is how I win".

Best bet is to report their posts for being combative, and derailing.

Yes, it’s sad to see. I tried very hard to be reasonable and respectful, to understand where Mick is coming from but it is clear that he is simply trolling. I don’t believe in name calling, or putting people in boxes, and I think generally, all of us can show empathy and tolerance for a divergence of opinion. But Mick isn’t interested in reasonable discussion.
Imagine how unhappy he must be to spend his time this way when he could be using his time so much more productively. Whatever he was originally trying to accomplish has been undone and his cause irreparably harmed along with his reputation.
Still, my time hasn’t totally been wasted here, I’ve been able to talk to a wide variety of people with views different from my own and on occasion we’ve reached an understanding of one another’s believes, if not an agreement. And at the end of the day, that’s all any of us can hope for. It’s nice to see that not everyone online reverts to their echo chamber but is willing to politely engage is peaceful, reasonable discussion. 🙂

I am a fan of having good damage but also having stuff like divine blessing, evade extender etc. etc. because for me it just makes the game more fun and a little bit more chill than going all in damage.
My hunting times for the hardest monsters are mostly still between 5-12 minutes and stuff like that but my problem is I am just ♥♥♥♥ it making builds myself, I am 100% never optimal and could do stuff 100% better with it but on youtube and mostly here its always just "NEW OP BUILD" and its just 1000% damage stuff without having any good comfort skills which makes the game in my opinion just more annoying.
So I was wondering are there any good maybe reddit pages or channels that also upload comfy builds ? I am mostly playing DB and I hate that most builds don't have marathon runner and stuff like that

Now maybe somebody is going to say that its slow, well uh the worst situtation is you end up carting so your not finishing the fight at all but uh this set is not slow.

and the 6 single slots well those got put into
Brace, Adept or Mirewalker
Rest usually DEFENSE

Notice I didnt list the Talismon
Well with that its a good idea to use maybe Defense Amulet.

My current Talismon though is
Golden Age Charm
3 slots
3 Attack
3 Divine Protection
Yes I know literally a god charm :D

For Waist you might consider,
Suja Sash, has Divine Prot an decent slots, and easy to get piece of gear.

Some Notes,
Mostly its a great set but against say GORE
I tend to not favor WEX, and prefer AGI/Burst and MM alongside a high crit weapon and deco it with Minds Eye.
Also against Laigracrux, minds eye is also nice if you are going to move around him a lot rather than try to stand still which honestly you dont want to stand still much if it can be helped as a blocking class say SNS can move a lot more than other blocker weapons.
Minds Eye makes the whole body a weak point :D
