It doesn't increase the item drop chance, it increases the rarity of drops. It uses the same equation Diablo 2 used for magic find. The bigger the number the more different, rare and legendary items you'll find.

Thanks for this. I would be okay with cringe AI voices that can be turned off in the options, but there's absolutely no way in hell I 'll play something that would plug me to a chatgtp NPC, unless I could turn off that crap completely too.

Crytek seems to be very adamant about keeping them exclusive, tho. Thats why they're testing releasing variations. It's more than a preference; re-releasing skins that were marketed as timed exclusives could open them up to legal action in the EU. If someone argues that they bought the battlepass/skins precisely due to it being a limited time offer, they would probably have to start offering refunds for all mythic skins.

Creating 'new' skins that are variants of the old ones is a way to offer a similar product without opening that can of worms.

Well, here's the thing: Regardless of how you feel about this, or about Stationmaster, himself, if he created something, he and he alone has the final rights to it. When put on Workshop, he's giving consent for people to use it. If he deletes it, he's revoking that consent, and he absolutely has the right to do so.
'Selfish' is thinking your convenience overrides someone's rights. I say 'convenience,' because if you really want [insert removed mod/livery/layout] back, you can make a new one, from scratch, yourself.

I've been holding off on speaking out in here, but that misguided accusation of people being selfish when they exercise their rights kicked me off the fence. The petty little part of me that remembers the history I have with Stationmaster says I should stand back and let people violate his rights. But, the rest of me is going to stick up for him, whether or not he has earned my disrespect. I don't even know if Stationmaster is still part of the community. I've not seen him or his renamed self making any posts for some time. If he is, it would be the ethical thing to do to get his permission, even just to post that dropbox link. If he's gone, the ethical thing would be to learn how to make 3D models or find someone who can, and remake the things for which Stationmaster revoked consent.
