I find using A and D on the keyboard to be the fastest way to move it around. I'm sure its all subjective but try it out, you might like it better. If not then maybe the Pro controller might be the best way to play for you.

It's a reminder of just how much presentation matters. Give them the right names, make it feel more like parts than whole-item effects, and odd, experimental, or unique gear with outlandish effects are fine.

On a very simple level, one of Fallout 4's mistakes is that its legendary effects try to describe what they do, rather than how they do it. Science fiction implies things happen for a reason, which is the difference between a "Ghoul Slayer's" gun, and a gun with an "anti-rad injector". One sounds like you're magically empowered to fight werewolves, the other sounds like it has technology to cancel the radiation that helps a ghoul function.

...or they can stop giving a reach-around to Skyrim and make a Fallout game.

I apologize, force of habit. I used to a tangled web of sarcasm and jokes. ROFL, okay, so you did get me twice. That's actually pretty funny. It took me a second to realize that might have been the case and it was you typing out "smiley face" that made the thought occur that it was also just a joke. Just not until after I had already posted what I wrote. I'm all for jokes and humor, even don't mind being made fun of, as long as I understand the reasoning behind the jabs. If I'm in on the roasting, I have no issues with it. Otherwise it just feels wrong. And trust me when I say my humor has some range on the subjects I can find it in.
