I'm playing on an RTX 2080 Super paired with a Ryzen 5 3600, it *mostly* runs fine at around ~60 FPS at 1080p on medium to high settings but unfortunately there's also a lot of stuttering, especially in the transitions between cutscenes and gameplay. I don't know if future patches will improve performance, but considering how the minimum specs suggest a Ryzen 7, I guess that this is probably more of a CPU thing: time to upgrade the old thing, I guess

You don't need to, but as others have said, its a really good arpg- it was a bit underrated at the time IMO, but I think as time went by people saw it more favourably, and it had some unique features and a lot of replayability because of the variety of class combinations.

They've locked Support and Engineer classes to female only. They want to make sure you hear the screams since 50% of the soldiers are going to be female.

It's not an additional 23gb, it's replacing a lot of files that are already there.

A lot of Intel 13/14th gen CPUs have been degrading, one of the most common symptoms is exactly that crashing in UE5-based games.

You can try updating the BIOS, which might work around the issue. Lowering the CPU core clock multiplier will make it not crash, but obviously also make the CPU slower. In the end, the only real fix is to RMA the CPU: https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-rma-an-intel-cpu/
