So we're counting CAPCOM managing to sell better than a dying company and not insulting their playerbase as "successes" now? That's quite a low bar. What's the next praise? "Not having a sordid history of employees getting prison sentences for sexual harassment"? That's your standard for what represents a good company to you?

Let’s be clear: I care about CAPCOM’s games, and I want their issues acknowledged. This industry isn’t going to improve itself if people keep making excuses and moving the goalposts every time a valid criticism comes up.
uhhh i guess you've got a point, anyway you're the first one dragging ubisoft into this and i'm not actually comparing them if you didn't bring that up.
i think our arguement stops here.
denuvo will be in this game and millions will buy this game in a month, you can save your money and buy it 2 years later when CAPCOM removed denuvo, have fun. :D
The problem is you’re not defending Denuvo, you’re just saying it doesn’t matter because the game will sell anyway, that’s not a justification, that’s resignation.

If Denuvo actually added value, Capcom (or Irdeto) would explain it openly, instead, they hide it, the only time you even see the name is when it blocks you from launching a game with "Go online" or "Codefusion" errors and a support page that won’t even admit Denuvo is involved, that’s not harmless, that’s something they don’t want players questioning.

If Capcom’s games sell because of their brand and reputation, then Denuvo isn’t needed, the DRM only adds online checks, hampers offline play, hurts long-term ownership, wastes Capcom’s money and dev time to implement, and even opens a lane for offline activation/account sellers to profit.

So boiling it down to "millions will buy anyway" doesn’t prove Denuvo is needed, it just proves Capcom can get away with it for now, that’s not strength, that’s wasted goodwill and resources.
