Yeah, I have many hopes for this, the main one being EW5's OST, but a significant one being also easy access to mods. Like, 1-click install; I'm not good with tech for anything too complicated.

Global illumination & Shadows
Set both to high from Epic 'both game default to high' for me.

Global illumination set to epic for me = major stutters.
On High that goes away for me.

Shadows set to epic did not give me stutters of any kind. I just left it at high because I wanted the extra few FPS from doing that.

Whenever i select "save game" from pause menu it takes me to a screen with a red arrow pointing to "New Game" I click that and it exits the pause menu!

Number 2, this is a beta test, do you not understand what that means? This is for testing the server's stability under high demand, to test the netcode under this load, and to give the new anticheat as much information as they can to effectively address and handle cheating. This is nothing new, this has been done for many years, however back in the day it was more selective in who could join the beta for this purpose.

Number 3....... You never had to enter bios to address issues? You must be wet behind the ears in PC building then because back in the day, you had to mess around in bios and configure the settings to your hardware because the optimal defaults where not necessarily compatible with your hardware and.... having to manually address IRQ's to your hardware. It was a hell of a guessing game on what PCI slot shared what IRQ with what onboard device like USB 1.0/2,0 or the various serial ports and com ports..........

So I will call bs on that as well because for you to even disable secure boot you had to manually disable it, all new systems have it on by default. So again like I said above you created your own problem because you thought you knew better because some tuber on the internet said so. Then proceed to complain about a minor inconvenience like it's the end of the world.

If you are uncertain whether your current battle still requires manual pursuit of routed units -

Once the battle is decided, open the unit card for any unit which is actively killing units. If it doesn't generate XP when the kill counter goes up, you can safely quit the battle.

IIRC it still matters for XP to e.g. kill heroes during the battle, which is why certain battles give more XP if played in autoresolve (like the turn 1 battle everyone has to face)
