... It's been years of EGS exclusives guys. You should know how it works by now.

1) EGS fund game, so game gets made
2) EGS release game to generally mediocre sales on PC due to small market share
3) Game gets patches, hopefully
4) Game is announced on Steam to bolster sales, last week of EGS exclusivity is generally a 50% discount if you wanted it cheap
5) Game is released on Steam, later than in EGS but in better shape and with more content out of the box.

Also, if you're making a high profile game with Unreal Engine, it makes sense to release it on EGS first as you'll get a far better share of the sale than on Steam. We're talking ~89% against ~65% here.

Regardless , you guys will get the game eventually even if you're clinging on Steam for whatever reason you have to do that, and in the meanwhile the devs get funds.

Why the outrage again ?

Epic paid for LIFETIME PC Distribution. This is not a Timed exclusive like some of the other games in the past. This is similar to Alan Wake 2, which as I am sure you noticed after 2 years is still not available on Steam because Epic paid for lifetime Distribution.

So were Oddworld Soulstorm, world war Z and a bunch of other games that were supposed to be lifetime exclusives over the years. Alan Wake 2 is quite the exception.

JUST THINKING OUT-LOUD

I know your game has newly been released a within the last week or two from now) and is probably not the right time to ask, but. I hope you are planning on adding a multi island hopper experience. Because the current island seems to be way too small to me. You can currently travel the entire Island in a complete (Circle) in a matter of 30 seconds or less and I can go across it in about 10-15 seconds time.

It quickly becomes redundant and makes you feel claustrophobic "like you are trapped on a rock and not an island."

I feel your game has potential, and it is at the CROSSROADS of taking any direction you choose, either good or bad.
If you choose to leave it with your current intended ending, You get in a boat and the game is done, "literally and physically."
But rather than taking that path with your game, I would suggest, taking a different TURNS and TWISTS... UP THE CHALLENGE, give us a run for our money. Expand the Island, or islands, make the game environment much larger and more challenging give us a good reason to make us LOVE or HATE your game,

A good love hate relationship is a healthy sign of challenge well done with signs leading to success.

And (please!) don't mind me, I am just me speaking out loud, all these words are just my thoughts. (Nothing else!)

Positive criticism, can be a healthy balance for re-direction, or simply staying in the correct path with your game. But you should never let anyone steer you off course.

Take all the criticism you receive (on a positive format) stay focused on what matters to you, but keep your ears open to the critics (which is all of us) who play your game. Don't try to please everyone... You will never make everyone happy, just focus on the things that resonate the loudest and keep the game balanced. GOOD LUCK in your journey.. And kudos on your hard work and talent.

Remember, you are the creator and the artist of this game, stay focused, and make your game journey a successful one,,, The talent and the know how is there.

I think you're underrating the utility of it for sure. It's an easy way to free up board space which can make good Umbra decks ramp faster and scale higher. You can just use it to eat extra Morsels and replace them with another from hand, or use them to clear a minion you want to replace, for example maybe an empty 0/1 Jack-in-the-Box or a train steward you placed to keep the early waves manageable.

New update looks so badass. One thing though, can we maybe prioritize the game functionality instead of just dropping new warbonds? Everyone I know that plays has major issues every session. Crashing is a regular thing, especially the first match of the day. Crashes every time. then just random buggy moments in the game; phasing through the map, random invisible walls in the sky that bounce grenades back at you, just blowing up out of nowhere with no enemies around, insane frame drops when the AO is packed with hostiles. I am not a hater btw, I love this game and will continue to play it regardless. It just would be great to be able to play it without as many hiccups instead of being thrown IGP's every month or so.
