the reason why its ERP is even so popular is because normal RP is just crap. For RP to happen you need.......... ERP galore.

Actually, for role-play to happen you just need to interact with the people around you. 99% of RP is imagination theatre. Props can be helpful. Set dressing can be helpful. The ability to manipu...............

"While it’s true that FF14 offers some roleplay potential, its focus on combat mechanics limits the depth of roleplaying compared to other games. Most of the abilities are combat-focused, and few have any real use outside of combat. In contrast, other games offer abilities or actions that contribute to roleplay in more varied ways, allowing players to engage in creative and dynamic interactions beyond just fighting. These kinds of systems help immerse players in the world and encourage more natural, organic roleplay.

Take games like LOTRO, WoW and one more but forgot the name now, for example. They hhave servers are dedicated to roleplay, where players immerse themselves in the world by walking around, doing everyday activities, and interacting with one another. This kind of interaction creates a living, breathing world that is just as fun to observe as it is to participate in. In FF14, however, outside of emotes and chat, the game doesn’t do much to facilitate non combat roleplay. As a result, the RP experience is limited, and it often boils down to just socialising through chat, with little in-game action to back it up. This lack of non-combat roleplaying options is one of the reasons why ERP tends to be more popular in FF14, it’s a form of roleplay that is more accessible, given the game's constraints.

The contrast lies in the design philosophy, FF14 limits most classes to combat abilities only. Other games give freedoms for that or add things like other abilities/items/toy/potion and so on that gives so many effects you could fill 50 hotbars of stuff and still have a ton more to go for. I like FF14 most but for RP is one of the more limited games out there, Unless you just enjoy Club scenes.

Thats not to say RP is bad in FF14 its not. But in comparison, almost all RP is Bar or Club or just dancing. ITs extremely casual and While I heard there a server in US that has more natural RP (though I can’t speak from personal experience, as I haven’t played on US servers and I rather stay where my ping is good.) in EU the club like RP is 99% of the entire RP going on. And to be fair its most interactive that way as you got people eveyrwhere to play around with since you cant do anything without them.

Echo or Striga of lev3 & the relic that let's you shoot without reloads is answer to almost all bosses. I usua;lly run the thing that places the weakspot as light spell just to make it faster[it also have 3 charges & it helps when you get arcana that add dmg per spell]

Noob question, this isn't a criticism! But isn't it a bit annoying that there's an optimal build for succeeding in this type of game and that everyone rushes to share it? Wouldn't it be better if pro gamers kept these builds to themselves without sharing them? Personally, I like to experiment with all the weapons and compositions and succeed with them, not necessarily the most optimal ones. I find it boring and not at all rewarding to have to look up which build to use to beat the bosses. Non-pros just pass on the nerfed builds without even having tried them out themselves :D

Hmm "Noob answer?" >> what did you even want then? Just use wghatever you want on him & he dies & those 2 weapons were best as they stager him relaitvly fast. The thing is he dont heal & you can really kill him with whatever if you just dont let him come close & his summons as he also cant traverse some obstacles :P He's ranged attacks are slow & easy to dodge like the grenadier one.

Really anything can kill him the thing is :
You nead not panic when he runs at you & just back off if you actually dont have clsoe range weapon you want to use on him.
Get fev arcana before fighting him if you fell like you don't want to waste ammo & time^
Level up weapons &/ring/relic eq overall as it iwll help a lot.
He even don't have any special mechanics as he is just a bigger gravediger :P

dunn owith this pro build thing as i played overal about 62h & some of those hours are from relise version where some things were a bit diffrent or there were less things.


Slap his face with fists^ if you feel like it is not pro & op^
