Okay but at the end of the day that’s the nature of this game genre. You either win or lose a fight, and there’s nothing you can do about it. It could be a comp-level 50k hour sweat that reads every move you make, or it could be a hito throwing variable heavies through all your parry attempts. Point is sometimes the situation you’re put in is unwinnable. That is and always will be apart of for honor because that’s what this game is.

Virtousa is annoying; but so was every new or reworked hero at one point, and over through experience you get better at fighting an unfamiliar hero. Regardless of your capabilities agaisnt virtousa, the only other option is giving up and leaving which helps nobody.

You’re not going to one man army lobbies. Not even the highest level players can consistently win back-to-back fights in a match, but you can still contribute to your team’s victory in those unwinnable situations. I guarantee your chances of surviving a 2v1 like that will drastically increase if you start playing like 2018 for honor and go full turtle to wait for backup. Even one extra teammate can easily turn the tide of a fight.

i have an infinitely higher chance to win a 2v1 against characters that i can actually hit, this scenario is a guerenteed loss unless someone helps which makes it no longer a 2v1, the new character is a problem this isn't the "nature of this kind of game" it's a developers making stupid overpowered things that doesn't make sense problem

The gear stats are for perks in 4v4s. Generally they won’t be worth leveling until you get legendary gear as that rarity gives the most perks possible.

They’re pretty much level 0.5 passive feats. Some range from useless like headhunter—bounty hunter heal on kill but worse—to advantageous like vengeful barrier—shield on revenge exit.

The hero also plays a huge role in perks. Pirate and Jorm both have perks that give an unreasonable amount of overshield, increasing their survivability by 50%. Gryphon can combine “rising dawn” and “rapid refresh” along with “quick revive” to revive teammates with 80% hp while receiving a substantial feat cooldown reduction. Plenty of sources explain it better than I do

Takeaway is; perks can provide a minor advantage in specific situations. If you can use their bonuses to your benefit they’re worth investing in. They are also triggerable from the very start of the match, no renown requirement.

Bastion and bulk-up are my go to for majority of heros. You get extra defence on capture points(bastion) and more hp(bulk up) combine that with juggernaut/tough as nails to soak extra damage
