Grand Tactician is an exceptional concept, but, with all the mixed reviews - I do own it - I have shied away from playing it. Every time I open it up to give it a go, I get lost in the wilderness.

It can be quite dense at first but it has less 'moving parts' than one would think at first sight, once you start playing it can 'flow' without requiring copious amount of input.

Start with some pre-made battles (scenarios) before jumping into campaigns, so you learn command and control first and get it out of the way.

Cant believe this has mainly positive reviews must be loyalists to the series. So far for me it's disappointing with a very slow start and story is not good feels like a prologue cut scene movie.

I advise you to continue in the same spirit, it's cool when you have your own idea of how the game will continue. The more different opinions there are, the more interesting the discussion and the more likely it is to learn new details that can greatly influence the plot of the game. In this cult of crazy theories, you need to come up with new ideas, even if they're crazy, but if they can't be refuted, why shouldn't they be true?

I just want to say this was not exactly the most serious Idea, it was one springed up when someone retorted to a Ralsei is an embodim nt of darkness thing I said and I made this one up on the spot.

You don't have to be to sweaty to play this game and have fun. Just go with what you feel like for your first run, and if you enjoyed it come back with a meta build to explore all the stuff you couldn't get through. Do that and the game will easily give you ~100 hours of play time. Granted not all of it will be engrossing or overly engaging, but that's just how these RPG maker games are ya know.

Happens with keyboard and mouse as well.

Btw, I don't know if you want a separate thread for this. I am also not sure if this is just a game mechanic. When you are tackling as one player then swap to another, the swapped player faces a different direction than where you were attacking. It seems random too in where it wants to attack.
