Building a ship from Fulgura

Order of preference:

  1. Reload the autosave from before your first Fulgora flight. Fix the platform so it can properly self-sustain itself before trying another flight over to Fulgora.
  2. Continue existing save from where you are, and use the remote map-view to build a new (and better designed) platform above Nauvis' orbit. Only Nauvis orbit is "safe" to build a new platform.
  3. Last, which you suggested: try to build a new platform above Fulgora's orbit, all the while figuring out its design while it is constantly bombarded with bigger asteroids that will destroy it as you figure out how to design & build it.

I'd be doing #1 if I were you.

I do remember when I first arrived at Gleba. Since I'm doing "Rush to space" (no production or utility) and "Logistic network embargo" (no active provider, buffer, or requester chests) while losing the platform. So I cannot rebuild it using Nauvis' factory.

I did try to get a suggestion. Most of them suggest reloading the save files and rebuilding the platform to be stronger. I feel like cheating, since it is my first time going into space. So, I just built a very big factory in Gleba and am trying to build a platform from there.

I'll be short, reloading the save is faster. It is very hard to build a platform on other planets. If you are not putting over 10 hours into that planet, reloading the save and fortifying the space platform you are using is faster. And since you have an idea how to start on that planet, it'll be very fast to rebuild them again. And with a space platform, you can request quite a lot of items from the platform, if you want Iron, Carbon, or Ice.

The logistic system research isn't needed. No utility or production science required. It would, however, require a few minimally set things on Nauvis. A tank with at least 1 construction bot, and a personal roboport, some solar power and some batteries in the equipment grid. With that setup you could, perhaps with some 'fancy footwork' do, remotely, nearly anything on Nauvis which you could do if the engineer was there. You could even bootstrap the tank's setup if you have a roboport with con bots in a place with access to what ever is needed to build the stuff, or the stuff to make the stuff. Painfully slow, but you could even work it using 3 roboports and have the con bots build and remove them in a leap-frog pattern across the map to get where you need to go. The less of a setup there is already the longer the "correction" would be, and a restart could be a better answer. Still, with a very minimal and probably existing, setup it could be done along with Rush to space.
