This is not a solution, but a crutch. Because you will have a perk of level 1 without talents, and also without weapon upgrades. So I would not even come close to saying that this is a solution.

Yes it doesn't solve the bug but it still allows you to play and yes on my side the perks keep their levels and improved equipment, just the character skins which are not added

I did my first run blind and I ended up with the best ending for Megan I believe. I'm a hopeless romantic at times and Megan has the best personality to reciprocate that. Melissa wanted to start a fling with the MC the first night out (which I didn't care for because her friend was right there and I barely know her) and Rena wanted to after already knowing that Megan and the MC were starting to become an item. I also simply couldn't stomach doing that to Megan after learning her story with Nick so I stuck it out and had made my decision by then. Liam ended up with Rena and honestly things looked bright after the ending even with all the storms that passed.

Also yeah I do personally prefer her looks but that wasn't the sole or main reason why I went along with her.
