So I'm a big fan of the series, played KF 1 and 2 for hundreds of hours. But my primary take away from KF3 was that it was too ambitious and trying to be something else with its new take on mods and elemental damage.

ELEMENTAL DAMAGE:

I absolutely LOVE elemental damage in games because it makes me reconsider how I approach a fight based on my weaknesses and strengths. It's a really cool concept but ultimately falls short in KF3 because they didn't really fully commit to it.

The difference in damage is negligible for the most part because the majority of trash mobs die instantaneously anyway. I also noticed that the Scrake is "vulnerable" to cutting damage but when I replaced my bullets with hollow points I saw no difference. On that note, a lot of these elemental weaknesses were just slapped on pre-existing Zeds from earlier titles(a bunch of different naked monsters wearing metal) so their different weaknesses/strengths don't really make sense, they're seemingly random.

WEAKPOINTS:

And its not just elemental weaknesses...if you look at the weakpoint chart...it says "Shoot this guy in the HEAD" under EVERY zed which is insanely unimaginative.

I think the game would be more fun if you had to shoot the legs off certain zeds because they had upperbody armor and a helmet. Just a different part to aim at so its not just aim center mass or at the head on every guy. Or ways of provoking an exposed weakpoint like getting a Siren to extend her neck and scream, her neck being the only weakpoint on her.

CONCLUSION:

If their intent was to "rethink and reconsider shooting" in a horde shooter, then they could've gone deeper and had different kinds of zeds that have actual elemental weaknesses and body armor and/or helmets that protected all but certain weakpoints that are not just the head. With some Zeds that are prone to freezing/burning/electrocuting and some zeds are immune to it...etc.

Ok help me out. I have a multiplayer game save that I've been playing with my family for a couple of weeks now. We tried to load it today, but it will not load, throwing errors about finding the file and the backup file. I validated the game, and it still hangs up at loading the plotmap or whatever. We have no mods but it will not load for me. Any ideas? Thanks, everyone.

I havent mentioned about a "250k fine" or "5 years in jail" at all in this thread earlier. And why did you meniton "piracy" in your statment? This topic is about cheaters in video game.

You said making something illegal deters it even if nobody is ever prosecuted. I showed an example of something being a felony but that fact not actually stopping anyone from doing it.
