thats why i stated the linked info, would be the end of it, as anything after (bills going through) is only doing basically the same (except going into more detail than a simple "executive order", in the end... its all about payment processors, banks, or card networks, doing crooked business and denying people, businesses, ect... usage of said services, due to their nonsense views/opinions, in politics, risk and other such nonsense (like consorting with "groups" or others, to deny service).

in any case, this all leads to one goal, stopping said companies from denying service for legal/lawful products/ect..

have a nice day peeps

Is it going to help Visa have the "safeguards' to assure what Steam is doing is legal, to they or their subsidiaries?

https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/1m9ly2j/so_i_got_a_response_from_visa/

This isn't about Valve being discriminated. Or politics. It has to do with safeguards Visa or their subsidiaries need to assure what they're processing, is legal. So they said.

Are these games legal in State of Texas, or Florida, or states adult content may need a verifiable ID?

These may be the questions.

So I looked it up and the Texas bill, which is going to the supreme court to be judged btw, targets websites. Now the bill is written in an overly broad way that they could stretch it to cover video games, but it is doubtful that such a stretching would survive scrutiny by higher courts even if a Texas court initially upheld it.

As for the Florida law, it is unlikely to pass scrutiny, particularly because it is a different standard then what exists for other mediums like movies (pg13 films can have sex scenes if they are brief) So a minor can freely go see a movie with harmful content, with no age verification.

Its a bit more complicated then that. Yes one of the prereqs to unlock another tradition tree is to have an integrated culture that is connected to that tree with at least 1/4 pops of your primary culture (the needed number is capped at 500, so even if your primary culture reaches 10k pops you just need 500 of the culture whose tree you wanna unlock).

Its important to note that it needs to be ONE culture with that number of pops. So for example if you play rome and you want to unlock the barbarian tree and you have 400 roman pops you would need 1 culture you control 100 pops of and integrate that.
So lets say you have 50 Aulerican culture pops and 50 Averni pops and integrate both, that wont work, since its not ONE culture with 100, but if you had 100 Averni pops and integrate that culture it works for the prereq

The other thing is that unlocking a certain trad tree actually IS a tradition on a trad-tree and the needed pops is an additional prereq to unlock it. The normal prereq to have all former trads unlocked (like for any trad) ofc still needs to be fullfilled to.

Wich also means that you can only unlock certain trad-trees from a given starting trad tree you have.
Rome for example can unlock the greek trad trees form their "roman"-tradition trees and they can unlock the barbarian tree from their "Itralic tribe"-tradition tree.
To unlock more they need to go through those unlocked trees.

you can see wich trad-tree allows to unlock wich trad-trees.
