I found it fun and challenging. It's more like a true "ranked" mode because it requires you to win to get the highest rank. The same can't be said about ranked knockout.

Nor does every review insult the devs.

Indie means self published, has nothing to do with size. Baldurs Gate 3 is indie, yet we all know that company is huge.

I never would have noticed if you didn't point it out. I don't really pay attention to that sort of thing when I'm keeping an eye out for monsters and the environment.

How could you not notice this? It was the first thing I noticed... And its bugging the crap outa me. This is the one thing I'd like them to patch up.

Don't see how hard it is to color in 2 or 3 frames, especially if they are now focusing on parrying. It makes the whole mechanic flawed.

Probably several reasons, actually.

For starters, most of the time, I play with the standard HUD, which hides it. Only recently did I decide to shrink the HUD, but I still didn't notice.

Second, again, I'm paying attention to my surroundings and the action. I have zero reason to look at that exact spot for something that probably only lasts a couple frames at best.

Third, when I have no control over how my character looks, I tend to simply not care. The character is the vehicle through which I experience the game.

Lastly, odd stuff crops up in games all the time. I learned to ignore them if they aren't directly hindering me. I do agree that it would be nice if they fill that in, but until that happens, I'm content to ignore it.

Having fun with the demo, was wondering if there are more interesting enemies (miniboss tier and up) to try out different loadouts on? So far I fought Gunfort, Hypnos... and that's it?

All of Elden Rings Enemies are soo much easier with Suncatcher. Malenia wouldnt be a problem there. Back then I need 3,5h for Malenia but with suncatcher it would be max 30mins
